I am not impressed with Windows 8.1 upgrade at all. That I presented with a uninstallation of Realtek PCIE Card Reader button which doesn't do anything at all. As far as I am concerned, Realtek drivers and software are completely removed from my laptop but the upgrade detects it and asks me to remove it. I have cleared the upgrade directory and re-attempted the download / upgrade with no luck. I also disabled automatic hardware detection / installation. I have disabled all Realtek hardware and also cleaned the registry that contains keys or values referencing Realtek. I am almost at the point to give up on upgrading and quiet disappointed at this. I have completed steps 1-3 and attempted the install several times now. I do not have any external drives connected to the laptop. Did not have any issues with Windows 8 before.
